ASTON, PA. – Gwynedd-Mercy couldn't shake off 13 Neumann three-pointers on the night as the Griffins lost, 87-78, to the Knights in a Colonial States Athletic Conference matchup Wednesday evening.
Neumann went 13-of-30 from downtown and shot over 50% from the floor while the Griffins were 4-of-15 from behind the arc.
Senior
Dan DelConte (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon) led GM (3-2, 2-1 CSAC) with a game-high 29 points as he was 6-of-14 shooting and 16-of-18 from the free-throw line. The guard added six rebounds, five steals, and three assists. Junior
Brendan Stanton (Harleysville, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) connected on a career-high 17 points.
The Knights (4-2, 1-1 CSAC) used back-to-back treys from Mike Walukiewicz to take a five-point lead midway in the first. Gwynedd would later cut a 12-point hole to just four, as GM trailed, 41-37, at the half.
An 11-0 run later in the second gave Neumann its biggest lead of the game at 67-50 with 10 minutes remaining.

Brandon Williams (Philadelphia, Pa./Philadelphia Electrical) added 11 points and six rebounds. Freshman
Tom McKeefery (North Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May) chipped in six caroms and six points.
Walukiewicz finished with 16 points while teammate Mark Blount had 18 points and eight boards.
Gwynedd-Mercy will get back at it on Saturday when they travel to Philadelphia Biblical for a CSAC tilt beginning at 4 p.m.
