CENTER VALLEY, PA. -- DeSales snapped Gwynedd-Mercy's six-game win streak as the Griffins fell, 64-51, Tuesday night.
The Griffins (6-2) rallied back from an 18-point halftime deficit as a 17-2 run to start the second gave GM some momentum.
But the Bulldogs, who scored just 19 points in the second stanza, countered with an 11-0 run to lead 64-48 with 3:49 left to keep Gwynedd at bey.

Kristy McGrath (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) led the Griffins with 19 points. Junior
Bryn Cotteta (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) added 12. McGrath fellow senior
Stacey Judge (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) also grabbed nine rebounds apiece.
The first half saw Gwynedd commit 16 turnovers and shoot 3-of-14 from downtown as DeSales built an 11-point lead at the midway point of the stanza. But the Griffins clamped down defensively in the second to try and inch back in the contest.
McGrath helped Gwynedd turn a 16-point hole into single digits, scoring seven points duing a three and a half minute stretch. Her two free throws with 11:49 left made it a 53-48 DSU edge.
Lori Lidow, who had 17 points for the Bulldogs, capped the game-changing 11-0 scoring sprint with a three pointer.
Collen Gavin led DeSales (6-4) with 18 points while Cherelle Simmons added nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
The Griffins will play once more this calendar year on Tuesday, December 28th when they host third-ranked (D3hoops.com) Kean University at 7 p.m.
