RADNOR, PA. – Gwynedd-Mercy held off Cabrini, 65-57, in Colonial States Athletic Conference action Thursday evening.
The Griffins hit six of their nine three-pointers in the second half after holding the Cavaliers to just four field goals in the first 20 minutes.
Juniors Brittany Neill (Woodlyn, Pa./Archmere Academy Del.) and Danielle Foreman (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) each connected on three treys apiece to help Gwynedd (4-1, 2-0 CSAC) to its second league win on the season.
Neill led GM with a game-high 18 points while Foreman totaled nine. Senior Kristy McGrath (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) added 15.
Julie Bonomo led the Cavs (1-4, 1-1 CSAC) with 16 points. Melissa Kudzmas chipped in 11.
Gwynedd outrebounded Cabrini, 52-39. Senior Stacey Judge (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) collected a career-high 11. Neill nabbed nine while McGrath had eight.
The Griffins return to action on Monday when they host Philadelphia Biblical in a CSAC matchup beginning at 6 p.m.
