LoStracco Named AEC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
 
Lancaster, Pa. – (4/23/2024) – Gwynedd Mercy University graduate Meghan LoStracco (Chalfont, Pa.) was named the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women’s Field Athlete of the Week after finishing 41^st (7.73 Meters) in the Shot Put and 22^nd (34.21) in the Hammer at Widener University’s Paul Donahue Invitational. Her throw of 34.21 meters in the Hammer was a personal record and she was joined in the Shot Put by freshman Alexandra Papadopolous (Conshohocken, Pa.), who placed 50^th (6.58).
 
The AEC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week award went to Marymount University freshman Ilana Hawkins (Silver Spring, Md.), while Weekly Honor Roll recognition went to Marywood University freshman Abby Megotz (Scranton, Pa.) as well as Immaculata University freshmen Maggie Friend (Lansdale, Pa.) and Jayla Gross (Pittsgrove, N.J.).
 
The Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's track and field teams compete next weekend, April 19 and 20, when they visit Elizabethtown College for the Blue Jay Tune Up.
