Collins Collects AEC Baseball Weekly Honor Roll Recognition

Billy Collins (Hatfield, Pa.) was named to the
Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Baseball Weekly Honor Roll after going 3-for-5 with a walk, a run, and four runs-batted-in (RBI) in a 21-8, seven-inning victory

at Penn State Abington (Apr. 26). Collins drew a two-out walk in the first inning and reached second base on a wild pitch, he also knocked in a run with a ground out to short in the second, got aboard in the third with a one-out single to center, doubled in two runs in the fifth with a shot to left field, and singled home another run in the sixth with another ball to left field.
Gwynedd Mercy University (17-16) scored double digit runs for the ninth time of the season as they dismissed Penn State Abington (17-17) by 21-8 (7 innings) final in Wednesday afternoon's weather-shortened affair. The Griffins took a comfortable lead with their eight-run third inning (8-0). Gwynedd Mercy University competes next on Tuesday, May 2, when they host Moravian University for a 7:00 p.m. Senior Night contest at Hostelley Field in North Wales, Pennsylvania.
