Parker Appears on AEC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll
 
Lancaster, Pa. – (11/28/2022) – With his fourth straight double-digit performance of the season, Gwynedd Mercy University junior guard Aziz Parker (Westhampton, N.J.) was mentioned on this week’s Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men’s Basketball Honor Roll. Parker totaled 21 points in the Griffins’ 83-67 loss at Alvernia University (Nov. 22) with a 9-of-11 (.818) effort from the field that included a 3-for-4 (.750) display from long range. He also recorded four rebounds and two assists versus the Golden Wolves.
 
Gwynedd Mercy University (0-5) held a slightly better first-half field goal percentage (37.0% - 36.1%) and established leads of 7-0 (17:18) lead and 13-8 (12:03) before Alvernia University (1-4) closed the opening period with a 25-15 run; 33-28. The Golden Wolves denied any chance of a Griffin come back with a 50-39 second half. Parker was joined in double figures by backcourt mate, and classmate, Manny Clark (Pottsgrove, Pa.), who recorded 15 points on a 6-of-10 (.600) shooting performance.
 
Gwynedd Mercy University continues their non-conference schedule on Wednesday, November 30, when they visit Goucher College for an 8:00 p.m. tip-off.
