Tim Kilian begins his second season as head coach of the Gwynedd-Mercy Volleyball Program.

Previously, he spent four years as assistant coach at Division II Holy Family University. His duties included the recruiting of future student-athletes as well as directing the offense. Kilian recruited and coached seven all-league selections and four all-academic honorees. In 2008, the team won a school record of 23 games.

Prior to Holy Family, Kilian was at Archbishop Wood High School, where he served as head girl’s volleyball coach from 2002 to 2005. During his four-year tenure, Kilian led Archbishop Wood to the Philadelphia Catholic League North Division Title three years in a row (2003, 2004 and 2005). He has 15 years of coaching experience at the club and high school levels.

A 1993 graduate of La Salle University with a degree in Business Administration, Kilian received his CAP Level 2 accreditation from USA Volleyball in 1998. In the offseason, Tim runs volleyball clinics across the country as part of the Gold Medal Squared program. Additionally he coaches with the USAV High Performance program during the summer, as well as working at the University of North Carolina summer volleyball camps.

Kilian also coaches junior boy’s volleyball with Panther volleyball club and serves as the event coordinator for the Northeast Qualifier in Baltimore and the East Coast Championships in Pittsburgh.
