Mike Wilus will be entering his second season as an assistant and recruiting coordinator with Griffin Head Coach Dana Lindstrom. He works primarily with the offense and man-up unit.
During the 2012 season, the Griffins showed positive growth on the offensive end of the field. Wilus led an offense that scored three more goals per game than the previous season and was ranked in the top third of all Division III teams. The man-up unit ended the season ranked 28th in the country, jumping from 93rd the previous year.
He is a 2011 graduate of the University of Massachusetts where he played lacrosse under head coach Greg Cannella. Wilus played in 36 career games at both Attack and Midfield for the Minutemen, registering points in three of his four years. He majored in History and was named a New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Senior Scholar-Athlete in his final season.
Wilus recently earned his Master’s degree in Education from La Salle University. During the summers he has worked many camps and clinics, while coaching for various club teams.
A graduate of nearby North Penn High School in Lansdale, Wilus was the North Penn Athlete of the Year in sophomore and junior years, earning first-team All-Suburban One League and All-Area team honors in sophomore, junior, and senior years. He earned numerous honors senior year while setting school records in goals (career: 151, season: 55) and points (career: 193)...
