2012-13: Named the CSAC Rookie of the Year...Also named the CSAC Player of the Week (12/17)...Ranked in the top 15 in the CSAC in assists and field goal percentage…Led the team in minutes played and assists…Posted a 1.2 assist-to-turnover ratio…Had an assist in all but two games…In first career start at Penn State-Berks, went for 19 points, four assists, and four steals…Hit a season-high 8-for-14 shooting and 26 points in a win at Baptist Bible…Drained five three-pointers in the home game with Cabrini (19 points), while playing all 40 minutes…Nabbed five rebounds three times (vs. John Jay, at Baptist Bible, and vs. Neumann)…Had his second 20-plus point game at Rosemont, going for 24 points on 6-of-9 shooting (4-for-5 3FG) and 8-of-9 from the line…Notched two games with four three-pointers (at Rosemont, at Centenary)…Averaged 12 points while shooting over 40.0% in 18 conference
games.

PERSONAL: Helped the Explorers into the Philadelphia Catholic League Playoffs...Averaged over five assists a game as a senior...As a junior, helped LaSalle to the Pennsylvania State Class AAAA Quarterfinals...Was a Markward Basketball Club Award Winner...Artis played for coach Joe Dempsey at LaSalle...He is the son of Chane’l and Allen Artis...He has two brothers.
