Will Wareham is entering his fourth season as an assistant coach at Gwynedd-Mercy. With over 14 years of high school and college coaching, Coach Wareham has built a foundation and established a strong rapport with high school players and coaches in the tri-state area.
Coach Wareham was previously the head men’s basketball coach at Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays Landing, New Jersey. At Atlantic Cape, Coach Wareham was responsible for all aspects of the program including but not limited to recruiting, game management/coaching, scheduling, and practice planning. Prior to the head position at ACC, Will was an assistant coach at Cape May Technical High School under Bob Ridgway from 2002-2010. While at Cape May Tech, Coach Wareham’s primary responsibilities included bench coaching, player development, and conditioning. In addition to in season coaching, Coach Wareham has numerous ties to the AAU circuit and has coached and instructed in many local summer camps and clinics such as Gwynedd-Mercy Basketball Camp and Shore Shot Basketball camps in Cape May, New Jersey.
At Gwynedd, Coach Wareham’s responsibilities will continue to include the many responsibilities he held at his previous positions. Will’s dedication for the sport motivates him to spend countless hours promoting and teaching fundamental basketball skills to youth of all ages within Southern New Jersey and the Greater Philadelphia area.
Will has a B.A. in Marketing from Post University in Waterbury, CT and currently works full-time as a Recruiting and Retention Operation Supervisor for the New Jersey Army National Guard. He served our country in Iraq from 2003-2004 and resides in Vineland, New Jersey with his wife and six children.
