Demar Morine begins his first year on the Gwynedd Mercy Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff. Coach Morine comes to Gwynedd Valley after serving as a student manager at Division II Indiana University of Pennsylvania. At IUP, Coach Morine handled administrative aspects of travel, equipment, player development duties, as well in assisting in scouting and game tape breakdown. He also served as a liaison with Philadelphia area recruits. In his time as a manager, IUP won a PSAC championship in 2013, earned three NCAA Tournament at large appearances, one Sweet 16 appearance and two regular-season PSAC championships.
Morine played his high school basketball at Philadelphia power Imhotep Charter High School.
Coach Morine's recent spring and summer work include coaching with the Team Philly AAU organization, and working numerous camps such as the University of Connecticut, Robert Morris University, University of Kentucky and Virginia Commonwealth University.
Morine is single and resides in Philadelphia.
