Doylestown, Pa, - (9/2/2026) -  The Griffins of Gwynedd Mercy University (0-1) traveled to Delaware Valley University (1-0) for their first game of the season, ultimately losing the game 1-0. The Aggies were able to tip the scales in the beginning of the fourth quarter, 1-0 (46:28).  Griffin senior forward Sarah Lindsay (Telford, Pa.) took the final shot of the game with just 41 seconds left to play, but it was scooped up by the Delaware Valley goalkeeper. 

 Griffin Highlights: 

• Led by senior defender Lillie Uttenreither (Bel Air, Md.) and junior goalkeeper Kelly Weaver (Flemington, N.J.), the Red and Gold stalwart for the first three quarters of play. 

• Gwynedd Mercy's forwards had opportunities as well; junior forward Allyssa Seifert (Philadelphia, Pa.) kept the Aggies on their toes with a team-high four shots. Three of them occured in the second quarter. 

• Lindsay (1 shot) and senior midfielder Morgan Hoban (Cinnaminson, N.J.) (2) comprised for the rest of the offense, tallying 3 shots total. 

• Weaver (0-1) finished the day with a total of seven saves. 

• The Griffin kept their cool under pressure, defending six penalty corners against the Aggies. They totaled 24 fouls when compared to Delaware Valley's 37. 

Gwynedd Mercy University returns to action on Saturday, September 5, when they visit Eastern University for an 11:00 a.m. contest.
