At halftime, representatives from Abbey's Bakery and the Gwynedd Mercy University Morgan's Message Club offered comments about student-athlete mental health awareness and the resources that are available through their respective organizations.
Griffin Highlights
- After the early Cedar Crest College goal, Gwynedd Mercy University took the initiative with Winco (12:10, 18:29) and senior defender Elena DiPrinzio (Warrington, Pa.) (14:06) taking shots. Winco's were on-goal.
- The Red and Gold outshot the Falcons 8-1 in the opening period and owned a 2-1 first-half corner kick advantage. The final shot differential was 17-2, Griffins.
- Several Griffins offered multiple shots; in addition to Cannon and Winco, senior defender Jessica Parker (Philadelphia, Pa.) (2 shots), DiPrinzio (2), freshman forward/midfielder Michelina Soroka (Hatboro, Pa.) (2), and sophomore midfielder Alexa Harr (Philadelphia, Pa.) (2) had a couple strikes each.
Gwynedd Mercy University continues their non-conference schedule on Saturday, September 19, when they host the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg for a 12:00 p.m. kickoff.
