Kate Etter (Chambersburg, Pa.) stood out in the first match with 12.5 points (10 kills, 2 aces, 1 block assist), while the Red and Gold were active at the net in the second match with 5.0 team blocks (2 solo blocks, 6 block assists).
Griffins Highlights vs. Marywood University
- Etter totaled 10 kills, two aces, and a block assist for her 12.5 points. She also recorded an assist and seven digs.
- Sophomore setters Brynn Crooks (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Macie Ferla (Mickleton, N.J.) split the point duties with eight and nine assists, respectively.
- The Red and Gold served well in the match; the dotted six aces with Etter and junior middle blocker Emma Hastings (Collingswood, N.J.) scoring two apiece.
- Sophomore defensive specialist P.J. Mendoza (Kennett Square, Pa.) captained the defense with a dozen (12) digs.

- Gwynedd Mercy University owned an 18-10 lead over Lycoming College in the first set, but they only scored five of the next 20 points in the frame. The Warriors used the momentum to keep their distance in the last two.

- Again, Crooks (6 assists) and Ferla (8) directed traffic, while Mendoza hustled to a team-high 11 digs.
Gwynedd Mercy University returns to action next Saturday, September 19, when they travel to Bryn Mawr College for a tri-match with the Owls (11:00 a.m.) and Elmira College (1:00 p.m.).
