Dukuly Titled Track Athlete of the Year, Snyder Joins on 2026 All-AEC Women’s Track & Field Team

2026 All-AEC Women's Track and Field: Fanta Dukuly (1st Team - 100-Meter, 2nd Team - 200-Meter, Track Athlete of the Year), Kaitlyn Snyder (1st Team - Javelin)
Lancaster, Pa. – (5/6/2026) – Building upon her 2025 Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women's Track and Field Rookie of the Year honor, Gwynedd Mercy University sophomore Fanta Dukuly (Philadelphia, Pa.) was officially honored as the 2026 AEC Women's 2026 Women's Track Athlete of the Year: Fanta Dukuly (1st Team - 100-Meter, 2nd Team - 200-Meter)Track Athlete of the Year. In addition to the major award winners, league commissioner Rebecca Mullen also officially recognized the members of the 2026 All-AEC Women's Track and Field Team. Graduate Kaitlyn Snyder (Elizabethtown, Pa.), joined Dukuly on the All-AEC First Team with her first-place finish (1st, 39.95, 10 points) in the Javelin at last weekend's AEC Women's Track and Field Championships (May 2-3). Opposite Dukuly, Marywood University sophomore Kalie Fernandez-Naughton (New Berlin, N.Y.) was selected as the AEC Women's Field Athlete of the Year; she also earned the AEC Elite Scholar Athlete Award, which honors the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average (GPA) competing at the finals site. Immaculata University freshman Abby Grillo (Wilmington, Del.) was recognized as the AEC Women's Track and Field Rookie of the Year, while Marymount University Head Coach Kameron Blanding and his assistants, Kahil Easy and Max McNeil, were honored as the AEC Women's Track and Field Coaching Staff of the Year. The Saints finished second (2nd of 7, 166 total points) the 2026 AEC Women's Track and Field Championship.
 
The All-AEC Track and Field Team is determined by finishes at the league's championship meet, while the major award winners were nominated by their coaches, and voted upon, based on their performances at the championship meet.
 
Individually, 2026 All-AEC Women's Track and Field: Fanta Dukuly (1st Team - 100-Meter, 2nd Team - 200-Meter, Track Athlete of the Year)Dukuly totaled 18 points for the Griffins with her first-place finish (1st, 12.70, 10 points) in the 100-Meter and her second-place finish (2nd, 26.13, 8 points) in the 200-Meter. She also team with sophomore Ava Ezzie (Drexel Hill, Pa.), freshman Izzy Bofinger (Mount Holly, N.J.), and freshman Olivia Taylor (Philadelphia, Pa.) for six points in the 4x100-Meter Relay (3rd, 52.32, 6 points).
 
Fernandez-Naughton totaled 26 toward the Pacers' championship performance with her all-conference efforts in the High Jump (2nd, 1.36, 8 points) and Triple Jump (1st, 9.65, 10 points) as well as her additional finishes in the Long Jump (3rd, 4.71, 6 points) and the 100-Meter Hurdles (5th, 18.15, 2 points).

Meanwhile, Grillo contributed to 24 of the Mighty Macs third-place finish (3rd of 7, 117 points) with her all-conference efforts in the 400-Meter (2nd, 58.99, 8 points) and 800-Meter (1st, 2:12.97, 10 points) as well as her additional finishes in the 200-Meter (9th, 27.19) and the 4x400-Meter Relay (3rd, 4:16.60, 6 points).
 
Snyder earned the Red and Gold 10 points in the Javelin with a first-place heave of 39.95 meters. She currently ranks fourth on the Track & Field Results Reporting System (TFRRS) National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Metro Region Outdoor Performance List, and 39th on the TFRRS NCAA DIII National Outdoor Performance List.
