- Cohen was Gwynedd Mercy University's first base runner of the game with her fifth-inning, lead-off single to left field. She immediately moved to second base on a Kehoe single to left field, but the duo never made it around the diamond as the Pioneers retired the next three Griffins in order.

- Gwynedd Mercy University wasted no time against the Knights as they plated six runs in their first at-ba; 6-0. They added three more in the second (9-0) and seven in the third to hold a commanding 16-0 lead.
- In the first inning, a Smith double to center field scored two Griffins (2-0). Smith then scored on a Cohen single (3-0), before a rash of beanballs and a passed ball brought home a few more (6-0). In the second inning, more bases-loaded walks and a wild pitch extended the Red and Gold's lead by three runs (9-0). And in the third inning. the Knights' poor pitching continued as the Griffins scored seven more runs with two hits and eight walks.
- From the middle of the lineup, a 3-for-3 day from junior catcher Maya Hellyer (Quakertown, Pa.) stood out among the multi-hit performances. She singled in the third, fourth, and fifth innings.
- In addition to the heart, freshman designated player Ashlyn Merz (Bensalem, Pa.)Â (1-for-2) and junior first baseman Jess Kepner (Pipersville, Pa.) (1-for-2) also recorded hits in the contest.
- Freshman pitcher Lexie Kurth (Baldwin, Md.) went the distance in the circle (5.0 Innings Pitched). She held the Knights to three earned runs on eight hits and a walk, while striking out seven.
