Arlington, Va. – (2/11/2026) – Gwynedd Mercy University (16-6, 9-2) earned a well fought 61-57 Atlantic East Conference (AEC) victory on the road over Marymount University (13-8, 10-1), handing the Saints their first conference loss of the season. The affair featured nine lead changes and five ties, but late-game defense and free throws secured the Griffins victory. Sophomore guard Bruce Smith (Philadelphia, Pa.) led the Griffins with 14 points, four rebounds, and a block, while senior guard D.J. Johnson (Norristown, Pa.) factored in with 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists, a block, and a steal.

• Senior guard Devin Benson (Williamstown, N.J.) sparked the late surge in the first half with a go-ahead three-pointer at 2:14 (28-26).
