Brooklyn, N.Y. - (1/7/2026) – Gwynedd Mercy University (4-8, 1-0 AEC) opened Atlantic East Conference (AEC) play in emphatic fashion on Wednesday afternoon, pulling away in the fourth quarter for a 65–47 road victory over Pratt Institute (1-8, 0-1 AEC). The Griffins used a dominant closing stretch, fast-break execution, and standout performances from their veteran core to secure the conference-opening win. Junior guard Alyssa Cresto (Newark, Del.) delivered a stellar all-around performance, pouring in a game and season-high 26 points on 10-of-22 (45%) shooting, including four three-pointers. Cresto was especially dangerous in transition, scoring 12 of her points in the fourth quarter. She also added three assists and two steals in the victory. Senior forward Erin Eisenhart (Bethlehem, Pa.) recorded her second double-double of the season with 13 rebounds and 16 points, along with three steals, two blocks, and three assists.
Griffin Highlights:
- Eisenhart anchored a Griffin defense that limited Pratt to 31.5 percent shooting and just nine percent from beyond the arc.
