- Following a short Immaculata University push back, a refocused Red and Gold defense triggered fastbreak opportunities that eventually distanced them by as many as 19 points; 39-20 (5:16) before intermission.
- After the break, the Griffins pushed a 48-33 halftime lead to 18 points, 65-47 (9:22), thanks to a Snead-Harris connection, 63-47 (10:09), and a couple of Snead free throws.

- Johnson paired his 15 points with eight rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and seven steals; he led or shared the team-lead in each of the last three stat categories.
