Lebanon Valley, Pa. - (9/6/2025) - The Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's cross country teams visited Lebanon Valley College for today's eight (8K) and five kilometers (5K) races in the Dutchmen Invitational. The Griffins finished 12th of 18 team in the women's field with 412 total points, while the Red and Gold's three-man team of freshman Conner Brennan (Hatboro, Pa.), senior Sebastian DeSimone (West Orange, N.J.), and sophomore Jamar Gauda (Delran, N.J.) placed 84th (30:24.9), 87th (30:37.3), and 159th (45:27.9), respectively. The ladies were led by freshman Abigail Flannery (Cinnaminson, N.J.), who placed 82nd with a time of 22:11.4.; she was supported by sophomore Ava Ezzie (Drexel Hill, Pa.) (115th, 23:23.7), freshman Hannah Satalin (Schwenksville, Pa.) (153rd, 27:05.70), freshman Emmee Belt (Southampton, Pa.) (155th, 27:06.7), and freshman Mary Rivas-Leiva (Horsham, Pa.) (169th, 30:42.3).

Navy won both races; they won the men's 8K (1st of 15, 24 total points) behind a first-place finish (1st, 25:13.6) from sophomore Trevor Hayes (East Moriches, N.Y.) and the women's 5K behind a first-place finish (1st, 18:06.3) from sophomore Jane Phillips (Virginia Beach, Va.).

Gwynedd Mercy University runs next on Saturday, September 20, when they visit Delaware Valley University for the Aggie Open.
