Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (12/10/2025) – While Gwynedd Mercy University failed to record a team score, the 2025 season was one of accomplishment as a three-man team consisting of senior
Sebastian DeSimone (West Orange, N.J.), sophomore
Jamar Gauda (Delran, N.J.), and
Conner Brennan (Hatboro, Pa.) produced a pair of All-Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Second Team performances; Brennan placed eighth with a time of 29:35.5 and DeSimone placed 11
th with a time of 31:21.7.
Brennan was Gwynedd Mercy University's top finisher in each race of his debut season, from his 33
rd place finish (18:34.1) at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) Blue & Gold Invitational (Aug. 29, 5K) to his 109
th place finish (28:41.9) at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Metro Regional (Nov. 15). In between, he stacked four appearances on the AEC Men's Cross Country Weekly Report; Weekly Honor Roll selections came on September 22 and October 20, while AEC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week awards were celebrated on September 9 and October 13. Brennan's second AEC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award was a result of a 47
th place time of 28:45.2 at the DeSales University Invitational (Oct. 11).
DeSimone's swag song was a steady improvement from begging to end as the heart of the Red and Gold enjoyed a five-kilometer (5k) personal-record at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) Blue and Gold Invitational with a time of 18:46.1 (35th) and later, an 8K personal-record of 29:22.0 (277th) at Rowan University's Border Battle (Oct. 18). The pinnacle of the season came with an All-AEC Second Team performance in the league championship; 11th (31:21.7). He also placed 123
rd (29:47.7) at the NCAA Division III Metro Regional.
Gauda opened the season with a 53
rd-place 5K (24:52.8) at TCNJ's Blue and Gold Invitational. His top 8K time came at Rowan University's Border Battle, where he completed the DREAM Park course in 42:06.3. He placed 38
th (44:45.0) at the 2025 AEC Men's Cross Country Championship (Nov. 1).
