Gwynedd Valley, Pa.- (9/3/25)- After a battle throughout the first half of play the Gwynedd Mercy University Griffins were unable to convert goals, losing this evening against Delaware Valley University 0-4. 

The Griffins kept their composure throughout the first half, especially when three consecutive corner kicks were rewarded to the Aggies (3:56, 5:17, 6:05).  The Red and Gold kept their intensity and Mel Velasquez (Philadelphia, Pa) generated their first shot off of a corner kick by Braedon Kehan (Warrington, Pa) (11:04).  Devario Ggoho (Philadelphia, Pa) had shots that hit both the crossbar and post and Griffins were unable to convert the shots into goals.  Delaware Valley came in strong to start the second half and utilized momentum to their adventure; the final three goals of the game all occurred within a ten-minute period (47:07, 51:11, 54:40). 

Griffin Highlights: 

• Junior forward Devario Gboho (Philadelphia, Pa) had strong shots throughout the game, tallying 50% of the Griffins' shots in the game. 

• Delaware Valley was able to capitalize on corner kicks with 10 as compared to Gwynedd Mercy's six. 

• Goalkeepers Ethan Zimmerman (Myerstown, Pa.) and Cody Sell (Souderton, Pa.) combined for six saves in the loss. 

The Red and Gold next travel to Dallas, Pa for an away contest on September 6 against Misericordia University; the game is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
