Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (9/13/2025) - Gwynedd Mercy University (1-4) hosted Eastern University (2-2) for their fifth straight home game to open the 2025 season. The Eagles scored twice in both of the first (6:48, 7:32) and second (15:42, 26:14) quarters, then added two more in the fourth (45:56, 50:13) before sophomore forward Allyssa Seifert (Philadelphia, Pa.) capitalized on a defensive miscue in the 60th minute (59:05) of a 6-1 final. Freshman forward Gianna Radcliffe (Harleysville, Pa.) led the Griffins with three shots. Seifert finished with a pair, while three others took one apiece.

• Radcliffe took the first shot of the contest and the Griffins' only two shots of the first quarter; 0:56, 10:33.
• Junior goalkeeper Nikki Williams (Cinnaminson, N.J.) (39:11 mins., 5 saves) relieved sophomore goalkeeper Kelly Weaver (Flemington, N.J.) (20:49, 6) in the 21st minute (20:49)
• The second quarter was the most active for the Gwynedd Mercy University offense as Radcliffe rattled off shots at 23:37 and 24:35, before junior defender Lillie Uttenreither (Bel Air, Md.) (24:51) and Seifert (25:06) got involved,
• The Red and Gold defense worked hard to limit the Eagles' success on 16 penalty corners.

Gwynedd Mercy University continues their opening home-stand on Wednesday, September 17, when they host Cedar Crest College for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
