Lancaster, Pa. – (8/27/2025) – The most recent in a series of preseason releases from the Atlantic East Conference (AEC), league commissioner Rebecca Mullen has officially announced the results of the
2025 AEC Women's Soccer Preseason Poll. The league's eight head coaches placed reigning conference champion Marywood University atop the forecasted standings with seven of the eight available first-place votes and 49 total points. Gwynedd Mercy University ranked fifth in the poll with 24 total points. The remaining first-place vote went to second-place finisher, Marymount University (41 total points, 1 first-place votes). Neumann University (38) placed third, Immaculata University (32) ranked fourth, while Centenary University (N.J.) (17), Pratt Institute (16), and Saint Elizabeth University (7) all finished below the Red and Gold.
In 2024, a maturing roster celebrated league wins over Pratt Institute (W, 3-2 on Oct. 9) and Centenary University (N.J.) (W, 4-3 on Oct. 30) as their last two victories of the season. Gwynedd Mercy University totaled six wins (6-10-2, 2-4) en route to the #5 seed in the 2024 Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women's Soccer Championship Tournament. Natalie Morris (Boyertown, Pa.) recorded the only Red and Gold goal (1-0, 8:46). She and
Bethany Beinlich '25 (Forksville, Pa.) garnered All-AEC honors; the former earned First Team honors with a career-highs in points (23), goals (10), and assists (3), while the latter garnered Second Team honors with AEC Top-10 numbers in game-winning goals (T2nd, 3), assists (T8th, 5), and shots (10th, 47).
