Grantham, Pa. - (4/12/2025) - Already the Gwynedd Mercy University record holder in the Hammer (3rd, 37.70), freshman Tyson Scheitrum (Harrisburg, Pa.) established a Red and Gold record in the Discus with his 39.18-meter throw that placed him eighth and earned the Griffins a point toward their 18th-place finish (18th of 25, 7 points) at the Messiah University Invitational. The Griffins other six points came in the 400-Meter with a third-place finish (3rd, 49.75) from senior Victor Cruz (New Castle, Del.). The Falcons won their home invitational with 134.50 points.

The Gwynedd Mercy University men's track and field team competes next on Sunday, April 27, when they host the Griffins' Last Chance Meet. Events are scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. start.
