Westminster, Md. - (2/15/2025) - The 2025 Gwynedd Mercy University men's lacrosse season got underway this afternoon in Westminster, Maryland, as the Red and Gold lost today's season opener at McDaniel College by a 15-3 measure. The Griffins trailed 4-0 after the first quarter and finally ended the Green Terror's opening run on a unassisted score from senior midfielder

Josh Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) followed with another Red and Gold goal just seconds later, 7-2 (0:31), but the Gwynedd Mercy University outburst was not enough to sway McDaniel College's momentum.
Griffin Highlights
- Gwynedd Mercy University put 13 of their 28Â shots on-goal after efficiently clearing the ball; 14-of-18 (.778). They were 0-of-4 on extra-man opportunities.
- Junior face-off specialist Jake Tedeschi (Goshen, N.Y.) was successful on 12-of-20 (.600) draws and recovered six of the Griffins' 25 ground balls.
- Senior short stick midfielder Nathan Tindall (Douglassville, Pa.) headlined the Red and Gold's defensive effort with three caused turnovers and a ground ball.
- Kish finished with two points after adding assist on the third Griffin goal; 11-3 (3:48), a third-quarter strike from senior midfielder Richie Hughes (Turnersville, N.J.).
- Senior goalkeeper Jared Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) totaled 15 saves and four ground balls in the loss (0-1).
