Griffins Battle Bulldogs with Perimeter Play

Brooklyn, N.Y. - (12/13/2025) - Gwynedd Mercy University (7-2) enjoyed another good afternoon from beyond the arch as they hit a season-high 14 three-point baskets (14-of-33, .424 3PT%) with their third game of .400 shooting or better so far this season. The Red and Gold's strong perimeter play carved them out an early double-digit lead; 23-13 (13:42), and extended a 40-34 (0:57) halftime advantage into a 71-46 (8:24) second-half lead that sustained in a 82-69 final. The Griffins were led by graduate guard Dylan Harris (Bloomsburg, Pa.), who hit 5-of-9 (.556) from long range in a 19-point performance. He was joined in double figures by senior guard Jake Okon (Yonkers, N.Y.) and sophomore guard Bruce Smith (Philadelphia, Pa.); both finished with 11 points.
