Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (11/8/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University (0-2), despite the final score not reflecting their effort, showcased determination and promising highlights in an 81-39 loss to Ursinus College (1-1) in the Consolation Game on Saturday afternoon at the Griffin Complex. Senior guard Alyssa Cresto (Newark, Del.) set the tone early for the Griffins, knocking down three triples en route to a team-high 9 points with one rebound and a steal.
Griffin Highlights:
- Fellow starter, sophomore forward Julianna DiFebbo (West Deptford, N.J.) contributed seven points, four rebounds, and two assists as she helped keep the offense moving. Junior forward Azzy Crumpton (Conshohocken, Pa.) provided an energetic presence in the paint with 6 points on an efficient 3-of-5 (60%) shooting.
- Off the bench, sophomore guards Alexis Kanzinger (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.) and Brianna McFadden (Fairless Hills, Pa.) offered sparks from distance, each connecting from beyond the arc. Defensively, sophomore guard Kailyn Bell (Ridley Park, Pa.) and senior forward Erin Eisenhart (Bethlehem, Pa.) held their own against the Ursinus posts, combining for seven rebounds and disrupting passing lanes.
- Offensively, the Red and Gold struggled all 40 minutes, finishing 13-of-47 (28%) and 8-of-29 (28%) from the charity stripe.
