The Red and Gold held possession for a majority of the game clock and it showed with a 27-23 shot advantage and an 11-3 edge in corner kicks.
Griffin Highlights
- Gwynedd Mercy University kept Pratt Institute on their heels in the first half; Kehan shot a few (2:42, 11:45, 18:01, 21:11) with some English before scoring in the 26th minute on a stutter-step move that completed a nice long set-up from junior midfielder Luke O'Donnell (Glenside, Pa.).
- Tempers increased in a more physical second half that totaled five yellows (40:36, 57:12, 78:13, 78:13, 89:55) and a red (87:59).
- Stuetz added the Red and Gold an insurance tally in the 71st minute as he marked his first collegiate goal with a successful header on the serve of sophomore midfielder Adam Leal (Jessup, Md.).
- Kehan totaled a dozen (12) shots. Five of them made it on goal.
- Graduate Andrew Roberto (Churchville, Pa.) (4-1) was everywhere the Griffins needed him to be as the Red and Gold goalkeeper totaled eight saves in his first shutout of the season.
Gwynedd Mercy University continues their AEC season this Saturday, October 11, when they visit Marymount University for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
