Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (10/25/2025) - Gwynedd Valley University (8-8-1, 2-4) paid their respects to the collegiate careers of seniors; forward
Kira Bradley (Langhorne, Pa.), midfielders
Natalie Morris (Boyertown, Pa.) and
Kyra Malloy (Limerick, Pa.), as well as goalkeepers
Natalie Gablein (Philadephia, Pa.) and
Madisson Ronn (Warrington, Pa.), before engaging Immaculata University in Atlantic East Conference (AEC) competition. The highly competitive contest saw the Griffins offset a 7-3 first-half shooting deficit with a 12-8 advantage in the second half; the Red and Gold's more aggressive efforts bore fruit midway through the latter frame as a point-blank strike from Bradley was followed by a rebound goal from sophomore midfielder
Samantha Winco (Chalfont, Pa.); 1-0 (79:30). Ronn (5-3) earned the win with three saves in the second half; Gablein gave her the chance to do so with three saves in the first.
Griffin Highlights
- Junior midfielder Elena DiPrinzio (Warrington, Pa.) (7:33), Bradley (9:37), and junior midfielder Rebecca Gordon (Sicklerville, N.J.) (43:28) each took first-half attempts at the Immaculata University goal, but none were able to find the back of the net.
- In the second half, a less casual Gwynedd Mercy University offense forced the issue and a set piece led to the rebound goal as Winco won the day with her following effort in the 80th minute.
- The Griffins' 12-8 second-half shooting advantage evened the game spread at 15-15.
- Bradley led the Griffins with four shots. Winco took two.
Gwynedd Mercy University completes their AEC and regular season schedules on Wednesday, October 29, when they host Centenary University (N.J.) for a 6:00 p.m. season finale.
