Lancaster, Pa. – (10/13/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University freshmen Conner Brennan (Hatboro, Pa.) and Abigail Flannery (Cinnaminson, N.J.) were respectively recognized as the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week following their performances is this past weekend's DeSales University Invitational (Oct. 11). Brennan was joined on the AEC Men's Cross Country Weekly Report by Pratt Institute junior Liam Reilly (East Setauket, N.Y.) who was the lone Honor Roll mention on either league announcement.
 
Brennan was the top Griffin finisher in the men's eight-kilometer (8K) with his 47th-place time of 28:45.20. Flannery impressed as well, pacing Gwynedd Mercy University to a seventh-place finish (7th of 8, 168 points) in the women's six-kilometer (6K) with her 15th-place time of 25:39.9.
 
The Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's cross country teams compete next on Saturday, October 18, when the Griffins visit Rowan University for the Border Battle (10:00 a.m./11:00 a.m.).
