Lebanon, Pa. – (9/5/2026) – The Gwynedd Mercy University cross country season officially opened today, Saturday, September 5, with the starting gun of Lebanon Valley College's Dutchmen Invitational as a pride of four Griffins finishers combined for no team score. Freshman Jake Killen (Lansdale, Pa.) was the first of them across the finish line as he placed 72^nd in the eight kilometer (8K) race with a run of 30:44.0. Sophomore Conner Brennan (Hatboro, Pa.) also placed among the Top-80 finishers and did so within the 31^st minute as well; 79^th (30:52.5).
 
The Gwynedd Mercy University women's cross country team competes next on Saturday, September 19, when they travel to Center Valley, Pennsylvania, for the DeSales University Invitational (11:00 a.m.).
