Doylestown, Pa. - (9/18/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (1-5-1) traveled to Delaware Valley University (5-2) as the team looked for their first win since September 7th. The Aggies continuously put pressure on Gwynedd Mercy throughout the game and broke through at 77:17 leading to the only goal of the game and a Delaware Valley 1-0 victory. Junior goalkeeper Joe Ramano (Blue Bell, Pa.) was back in the net for the red and gold and finished with a career-high 11 saves in the contest in the loss (1-4).  

Griffin Highlights:  

• Gwynedd Mercy was outshot 22-8 in the game and the Griffins failed to record a shot in the first half.  
• Sophomore midfielder Luke O'Donell (Glenside, Pa.) finished with a team-high in shots (3) and shots on goal (2). Right behind O'Donnell was sophomore midfielder Sam Hanley (East Longmeadow, Mass.) with two shots and a shot on goal.  
• Both teams combined for nine corner opportunities with Delaware Valley earning a slight edge of 5-4 in the category.  

Gwynedd Mercy University finally returns home to the Athletic Complex after a long five-game road stretch as the team hosts the University of Valley Forge on Saturday, September 21 for a 3:00 p.m. kickoff.
