Lancaster, Pa. - (9/11/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (1-3) traveled to Lancaster Bible College (1-2) where the Chargers scored just 11 seconds into the game and would not lose the lead the rest of the contest as Lancaster Bible defeated the Griffins 3-0. Junior forward Braedon Kehan (Warrington, Pa.) finished with half of the team's shot on goal with two and tallied four shots in the contest. Senior midfielder Kasey Wallace (Audubon, N.J.) joined Kehan in the shot department , and sophomore midfielder Luke O'Donnell (Glenside, Pa.). The former finished with one shot on net, while the latter recorded two shots with one being on net.
Griffins Highlights:
- After coming off the program record of 42 shots in their previous contest, Gwynedd Mercy only managed to tally seven shots in the match.
- Both teams limited the opposing teams' chances in the offensive zones as Lancaster only finished with five corner opportunities and Gwynedd Mercy only recorded three corner kicks.
- Junior goalkeeper Joe Romano (Blue Bell, Pa.) started in net for the red and gold finishing with four saves in 45 minutes of play in the loss (1-3). Freshman Fionn Berton (Bordertown, N.J.) played the final 45 minutes recording two saves in the effort.
Gwynedd Mercy University travels to Bryn Athyn College on Friday, September 13 for a 5:00 p.m. kickoff.
