Carney did not receive any help from her offensive as the Griffins fell to the Falcons 8-0 in five innings. In game two senior pitcher
Ashley Haggerty (East Norriton, Pa.) (0-1) made her first start of her senior campaign. Haggerty went six strong innings allowing ten hits, three earned runs, one walk, and a strikeout in the 4-1 loss to the Tornado.
Griffin Highlights vs. Fairmount State University
- The Red and Gold only managed three hits in the entire contest. Hits came from sophomore shortstop Hannah Smith (Levittown, Pa.) (1), junior catcher Shannon McLaughlin (Haddon Heights, N.J.) (1), and senior utility player Shylynn Cordero (Allentown, Pa.) (1).
- In the first inning, senior infielder Grace Scally (Philadelphia, Pa.) worked a walk putting Scally at first and Smith at second, but a flyout would end the inning.
Griffin Highlights vs. Brevard College
- Gwynedd Mercy struggled with leaving runners with seven Griffins stranded in the contest.
- In the fourth inning, Scally hit an RBI (run-batted-in) doubled to center field bringing home junior middle infielder Carly Maw (Bensalem, Pa.) and cutting the lead in half 2-1.
