Jocelyn Baumeister (Willow Grove, Pa.) both knocked in a pair of runs and three others plated one apiece to support a 7-4 Red and Gold victory. In the nightcap, the Gwynedd Mercy University exploded for six runs in the third inning (7-0) and five runs in the sixth inning to compliment a nice outing from junior pitcher
Emily Murphy (Philadelphia, Pa.). The transfer from Wilkes University allowed one run on eight hits and struck out two in her Griffin debut. Cordero recorded her 100th career hit with a sixth-inning single down the left field line.

- Gwynedd Mercy University scored a run in each of their first three at-bats; Scally singled in Cordero with a first-inning single to center (1-0), senior first baseman Ashley Haggerty (East Noriton, Pa.) sacrificed sophomore shortstop Hannah Smith (Levittown, Pa.) home in the second inning (2-0), and Scally singled sophomore catcher Camryn Kinney (East Stroudsburg, Pa.) in with a third-inning single to first (3-0).
- The Griffins scored three more in the fifth inning thanks to a two-run double from Baumeister (5-2) and freshman second baseman Avery Schwartz (Collegeville, Pa.) (6-2).
- Kinney doubled Cordero home in the sixth inning (7-2) to give Gwynedd Mercy University enough coverage for a the Cougars two-run seventh; 7-4.
- Baumeister earned her first win (1-0) of the season, holding Minnesota Morris to four runs on ten hits and a walk. She struck out two.
Griffin Highlights vs. FDU-Florham
- Gwynedd Mercy University was able to score their first run of the game on a first-inning double play (1-0).
- The Griffins added six runs in the third inning thanks to singles from Smith (2-0) and Murphy (3-0), a wild pitch (4-0), a ground out from freshman right fielder Izzy LaPerry (Beachwood, N.J.) (5-0), a fielding error (6-0), and a Kinney ground out (7-0).
- In the sixth inning, a Murphy triple plated two Griffins (10-1) before singles to right field from freshman second baseman Cailin Via (West Deptford, N.J.) and Scally scored two more in a runaway 12-1 win.
- Cordero's came in between Via and Scally's sixth-inning hits. Cordero (2-for-3) was one of five Griffins with multiple hits in the game.
- Helping herself, Murphy led the group with three hits (3-for-4) and plated three runs to support her work in the circle (W (1-0), 6IP, 8H, 1R, 2K).
