true Immaculata Pa. - (2/7/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (15-8, 8-2) traveled to Immaculata University (11-11, 4-5) looking to keep control of the number one seed in the Atlantic East Conference (AEC). Gwynedd Mercy suffocated the Mighty Macs right off the tip as the team finished with a 26-point victory with a final score of 90-64. Senior guard JoHaan Vinson (Philadelphia, Pa.) finished with a game-high 17 points on 5-of-7 (71%) shooting in just 16 minutes of game action. Vinson also recorded five rebounds and a block. 
 
Griffin Highlights: 

• With 8:14 left to go in the second half senior guard Aziz Parker (Westhampton, N.J.) went to the free throw line and went 1-2 at the line netting his ninth point of the contest. With his ninth point in the contest, Parker became the 21st Griffin in program history to reach 1,000 career points. 
• Multiple Griffins finished with double-digit points including junior guard Aquil Stewart (Philadelphia, Pa.) (14), sophomore guard Jalen Snead (Philadelphia, Pa.) (14), and junior guard Mike Marable (Philadelphia, Pa.) (10).
• Gwynedd Mercy as a team shot 31-of-64 (48%) while Immaculata University shot 20-of-67 (30%).
• The Griffins forced the Mighty Macs into 15 turnovers leading to 22 points off turnovers. 

 Gwynedd Mercy returns to the Griffin Complex on Saturday, February 10th, when the Griffins take on Marymount University for a battle of the number one and two seed in the AEC. Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
