Reading, Pa. - (12/14/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (4-7) played their final road game of the 2024 portion of their schedule with a trip to Albright College (5-2). With the Griffins starting the contest down just 10-9 (4:24) in the first quarter, the Lions would go on an 11-4 run to end the quarter bringing the score to 21-13 after the first ten minutes. The Griffins would go on to score 22 points in the second quarter, but Albright answered the call with 22 as well. The Red and Gold would not win a quarter in the second half and would go on to lose 83-58. Sophomore forward Azzy Crumpton (Conshohocken, Pa.) was a spark off the bench as Crumpton in just 16 minutes scored a team-high 12 points on 4-of-9 (44%) from the field and was a perfect 4-of-4 (100%) from the charity stripe.  

Griffin Highlights:   

• Albright shot lights out throughout the contest. The Lions were 29-of-60 (48%) from the field and 7-of-17 (41%) from three. 
• Junior forward Erin Eisenhart (Bethlehem, Pa.) finished the contest with 11 points, four rebounds, and three steals.  
• The Lions bench outscored Gwynedd Mercy 39-20. 

Gwynedd Mercy plays its final game before the holiday break Tuesday, December 17 when the Griffins take on Gallaudet University for a 3:00 p.m. tipoff.
