Immaculata, Pa. - (11/2/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (16-9 -2, 3-2 AEC) visited Immaculata University (3-14, 1-5 AEC) and earned their second straight Atlantic East Conference (AEC) victory over the Mighty Macs with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 29-27) dominant performance. Sophomore outside hitter Kate Etter (Chambersburg, Pa.) was impressive in the conference matchup finishing with a game-high 17 kills on a .333 (17K-4E-39TA) hitting percentage adding a block totaling 18 points in the three sets. Reigning AEC weekly honor roll member junior setter captain Ayanna Gaston (Middletown, Del.) continued to allow her teammates to find success finishing with 31 assists.
Griffin Highlights:
- The Griffins as a team finished with .254 (41K-11E-118TA) hitting percentage including a .405 (17K-2E-37TA) second set, while Immaculata finished with a .093 (32K-21E-118TA) hitting percentage.
- Junior right side Charlotte Pugh (Philadelphia, Pa.) finished with season-highs in kills (12), aces (2), and points (15.5). Pugh also recorded three block assists.
- Gwynedd Mercy finished with 38 digs to Immaculata's 28 digs including a team-high 14 digs from freshman defensive specialist Annalise Kuppel (Estell Manor, N.J.), 13 from Etter, and 12 from Pugh.
