Brooklyn, N.Y. - (10/9/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (2-12-2, 0-2) made the trip up to Brooklyn New York to take on Atlantic East Conference (AEC) foe Pratt Institute (2-6-3, 1-0) for the Griffins second AEC matchup of the 2024 season. Both teams' defense allowed few chances to the opposing teams as both teams shot a combined 11 shots on net with the Cannoneers tallying six of them. Both junior forward Braedon Kehan (Warrington, Pa.) and sophomore forward Devario Gboho (Philadelphia, Pa.) finished with a team-high three shots in the contest. Unfortunately for the Griffins, Pratt would find the back of the net twice and secure a 2-0 victory.  

Griffin Highlights:  

• Freshman goalkeeper Fionn Berton (Bordentown, N.J.) started his eighth game in net during his freshman campaign finishing with four saves in the loss (0-7-1). 
• Gwynedd Mercy did lead the category 9-4 in corner kick opportunities but could not capitalize on any of their chances. 
• The game was filled with fouls (25) including seven yellow cards being handed out throughout the match with three of them going to Gwynedd Mercy.  

Gwynedd Mercy plays their final non-conference match of the 2024 season when the Griffins travel to Cairn University on Friday, October 11 for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
