Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (9/4/2024) – This year, thousands of volleyball athletes from around the country will participate in
The Side-Out Foundation's Dig Pink® program. Middle school, high school, college, club, and adult teams will advocate for those living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) in their communities while raising funds for the Side-Out Foundation.
Â
Donations from Dig Pink events support metastatic breast cancer (MBC) patients' participation in Side-Out's Precision Medicine Analysis Program in addition to supporting the foundation's own ongoing breast cancer research.
Â
The Gwynedd Mercy University women's team will host a Dig Pink® match on Wednesday, October 16 to support the Side-Out Foundation. Recent alumni will be in attendance and collection buckets will be on-hand for those looking to donate.

About The Side-Out Foundation
The Side-Out Foundation, established in 2004, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit making a significant impact on the lives of metastatic breast cancer patients and their families. Through innovative approaches and precision medicine research, Side-Out provides hope and treatment options for those with metastatic breast cancer. Their educational and community-driven programs, Dig Pink® and the Ambassador Program, engage a new generation in advocacy and fund revolutionary research. Side-Out envisions a future where breast cancer is not a terminal diagnosis and every patient has hope for more tomorrows.
Â
Side-Out's precision medicine research matches patients with treatments and uses the outcome data produced from this to draw conclusions, challenge the foundations of cancer care, and change the trajectory of the disease. The organization's educational and community-driven programs
Dig Pink® and
Ambassador Program are built on creating advocacy for the metastatic breast cancer community, engaging a new generation, and funding Side-Out's revolutionary research. As both a nonprofit and research organization,
The Side-Out Foundation and its supporters work for a future where breast cancer isn't a terminal diagnosis and anyone receiving a breast cancer diagnosis has hope for more tomorrows.
