Bridget Cannon (Bensalem, Pa.), unfortunately with just four minutes to go in the game Cairn tied it up (86:00) as Gwynedd Mercy University (4-3-1) and Carin University (1-3-1) ended the contest in a 1-1 tie.
Griffin Highlights:
- Sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Gablein (Philadelphia, Pa.) started the game's first 45:00 minutes, finishing with six saves. Gablein was busy the entire 45 minutes including two back-to-back big saves for the Griffins in the 35:40 and 35:44 mark.
- A corner kick from the Highlanders at 33:01 forced freshman defenseman Jess Parker (Philadelphia, Pa.) to record her first-ever defensive save and keep the game knotted 0-0.
- Gwynedd Mercy led the shot category 15-14 with freshman forward Ksenia Semenovykh (Warrington, Pa.) finishing with a game-high seven shots.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Madisson Ronn (Warrington, Pa.) played the final 45:00 minutes of the contest finishing with two saves and the tie (0-3-1).
Gwynedd Mercy University is back on action Wednesday, September 27, when they welcome Wilson College to the Athletic Complex for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
