Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (9/18/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University (3-3) made its way back into the win column Monday night when they defeated Clarks Summit University (0-2) 4-0. Freshman forward Ksenia Semenovykh (Warrington, Pa.) finished the game with eight shots, five shots on goal, and two goals. Sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Gablein (Philadelphia, Pa.) started the first 45 minutes of the contest finishing with two saves and the win (3-0). 
 
Griffin Highlights:

• Freshman defenseman Rebecca Gordon (Sicklerville, N.J.) netted her second goal of her collegiate at the 51:11 mark and finished with a career and game-high 12 shots against the Defenders. She also tallied an assist in the affair. 
• The Griffins played as a cohesive unit in the defensive end, only allowing five shots on goal through the entire game and not giving Clarks Summit a single corner kick.
• Sophomore captain forward Bethany Beinlich (Forksville, Pa.) netted her second goal of the season (49:41), while finishing with four shots. 
• Gwynedd Mercy continuously throughout the game took shots at the net and won the shots category 39-15. 

 
Gwynedd Mercy looks to make it two in a row when they travel to the University of Valley Forge on Wednesday, September 20, for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff.
