Radnor, Pa. - (4/22/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University (16-12, 4-6) visited Cabrini University (20-11, 6-3) for their penultimate Atlantic East Conference (AEC) doubleheader of the year. There, the Cavaliers welcomed the Griffins with a game-one no hitter, 6-0, before rallying to steal game two in nine innings, 5-4. All four of Gwynedd Mercy University's game two tallies scored unearned as the Griffins took advantage of third and fourth-inning miscues by the Cabrini University defense.

Game 1
- Senior center fielder Emma Carney (Plymouth Meeting, Pa.) was Gwynedd Mercy University's only base runner in game one thanks to a second-inning walk.
- Junior Ashley Focht (Harrisburg, Pa.) allowed six runs on eight hits and a walk in the loss (8-5).
Game 2
- Junior second baseman Shylynn Cordero (Allentown, Pa.) got the Griffins started in the third inning with a one-out walk. A single up the middle from sophomore left fielder Ally McDaid (Maple Glen, Pa.) and an error by the Cavalier shortstop loaded the bases. A second error ast short and a passed ball permitted Cordero and McDaid to give Gwynedd Mercy University an early lead, 2-1.
- The Griffins extended their lead to 4-1 with two more runs in the fourth inning. There, a one-out double from freshman shortstop Hannah Smith (Levittown, Pa.), a ground out, and a walk and steal from McDaid put two Griffins in scoring position. A third error by the Cavalier shortstop allowed two runs to score on Focht's ground ball.
- Five Griffins recorded one hit apiece; Cordero (1-for-4, BB, R), McDaid (1-for-4, BB, 2R), junior Jocelyn Baumeister (Willow Grove, Pa.) (1-for-5), Carney (1-for-2, 2BB), and Smith (1-for-4, R).
- Baumeister took the loss (6-6) while holding the Cavaliers to four earned runs on 10 hits and four walks. She struck out three over eight innings (8.0).
