Davenport, FL (3/7/2023) - After the team only recorded two hits in yesterday's game, Gwynedd Mercy University (3-2) got back in the win column winning 8-3 over Saint Vincent College (2-2). The Griffins finished the game with 14 hits with multiple players recording two or more hits. Graduate infielder Jack Jamison (Fort Washington, Pa.) was one of these players with a team-high three hits and two runs batted in (RBI). 

Griffin Highlights:

• With bases loaded in the first, senior infielder Noah Andress (Levittown, Pa.) showed good discipline at the plate and drew a walk allowing freshmen outfielder Sam Junker (Ambler, Pa.) to take an early 1-0 lead. 
• A batter later the same result occurred this time senior infielder Nick Price (Levittown, Pa.) worked a walk allowing graduate infielder Rob Bailey (Abington, Pa.) to score (2-0). 
• In the third, with the count 1-1 Jamison singled through the left side. Andress would cross home plate and put the Griffins back on top 3-2. 
• Graduate infielder Billy Collins (Hatfield, Pa.) doubled to left field in the fourth to extend Gwynedd Mercy's lead 4-2.
• Due to a wild pitch in the fourth, Bailey was able to score extending the Griffins lead 5-2. 
• In the fifth inning, Junker singled to left center bringing home freshmen outfielder Chris Nodeland (Hamilton, N.J.) and Jamison (7-2). 
• Jamison put the finishing touches when he had an RBI double down the right field line scoring Price (8-2). 
• Junior pitcher Frank Ebling (Cherry Hill, N.J.) earned his first win of the year going six innings giving up two runs on six hits while striking out three. 

Gwynedd Mercy is back in action Thursday, March 9, when they continue their spring break road trip against Clark University for a scheduled 9:30 A.M. first pitch.,
