Doylestown, Pa - (3/18/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University (1-5) visited Delaware University (3-3) for this afternoon's contest, where early Aggies scores kept the home team ahead 6-3 at halftime and 10-8 at game's end. Junior attack Jason Eide (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) headlined the Griffin effort with six points (4 goals, 2 assists), a ground ball, and a caused turnover.

Griffin Highlights

• After falling behind 6-3 in the first half, Eide held Gwynedd Mercy University even with three third-quarter scores (13:30, 5:18, 4:02).
• Junior attack Tyler Long (Downingtown, Pa.) cut the final margin by a tally with back-to-back goals in the final minute (0:31, 0:24); Eide provided the assist on both of those scores.
• The Griffin out-shot the Aggies 49-28 and were more efficient on the clear (.857 (18-of-21) - .828 (24-of-29)), while beating Delaware Valley in ground balls (27-23).
• Long finished with three scores, two ground balls, and a caused turnover.
• Senior long stick midfielder Sam Flamma (Sewell, N.J.) led the defense with three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Jared Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) recorded 10 saves, a ground ball, and a caused turnover in the loss (1-2).
