Wilkes-Barre, PA (3/1/22) - Gwynedd Mercy Women's Lacrosse fell to Wilkes University 8-10 on Wednesday afternoon.

Highlights:

• Junior Captain Kristin Varilla electrified the offense with 5 of the team's 8 goals. The attacker also added two groundballs and two draw controls.
• Sophomore midfielder, Alysia Collins, contributed two goals, an assist, and one caused turnover. 
• Junior midfielder, Caroline Cleary, was a huge presence on the field scooping up six groundballs and six draw controls.
• Senior goalkeeper, Reilly Owens, had 5 saves on the day and picked up 6 groundballs.  
• The Griffins won the first and forth quarters but it wasn't enough to pull out the win.

The team will be back in action this Saturday when they travel to Delaware Valley for a 1pm start.
