Huntingdon, Pa. - (2/25/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University (0-2) lost their second straight contest by a single goal as they fell to Juniata College (2-0) in today's non-conference contest. Five different Griffins scored in a 5-2 first quarter that kept them in the lead until the final quarter of the affair; 7-6 (6:55). Unfortunately, the Eagles scored the last two tallies of the period (1:50, 0:23) and matched Gwynedd Mercy University in the final frame of an eventual 9-8 (4:56) final.

• Gwynedd Mercy University held a 6-5 advantage after the first two quarters, mounting a 6-3 (8:36, 2QTR) advantage before Juniata College closed the gap with the final two scores of the second quarter (2:56, 1:59).
• The Eagles increased their lead with a 3-1 third quarter spread and negated the Griffins' fourth-quarter score (8-8, 9:11) with an 4:56 game winner; 9-8.
• Freshman attack Gunnar Seaman (Worcester, Pa.) led the Gwynedd Mercy University effort with three points (2 goals, 1 assist), two ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
• Junior attack Tyler Long (Downingtown, Pa.) was helpful with three points (1 goal, 2 assists), three ground balls, and a caused turnover.
•  Junior defense Sammy Summer (Yardley, Pa.) recorded three ground balls and three caused turnovers while junior face-off Evan Courts (Bellefonte, Pa.) won 5-of-15 (.333) draws and recovered a ground ball.
• Senior goalkeeper Chase McFeeley (Mullica Hill, N.J.) totaled 15 saves in the loss (0-2).
