Gwynedd Valley, PA - (2/22/23) - Gwynedd Mercy Women's Lacrosse fell to Alvernia 9-18 on Wednesday afternoon.  

Highlights:

• Junior Captain, Kristin Varilla, contributed 6 points (5 goals, 1 assist) to the Griffins' 8 goals while also adding two groundballs, a draw control, and a caused turnover. 
• Junior midfielder, Caroline Cleary, and freshman attacker, Sydney Brown, each got their first collegiate goals in today's contest.
• Sophomore midfielder, Cheyenne Avellino, led the team in caused turnovers with three while also scoring a goal and winning two draw controls.
• The Golden Wolves fired off 43 shots and Senior Captain, Reilly Owens, had 15 saves.  

The Griffs will be back in action this Saturday when they travel to Keystone College for a 2pm start.
