- Gwynedd Mercy University's lead reached double-digits in the opening seven minutes as a pair of free throws from senior forward JoHaan Vinson (Philadelphia, Pa.)Â pushed the Griffins' early advantage to 11 points, 19-8, with 13:18 to play.
- Thanks to a four-point play from sophomore guard D.J. Johnson (Norristown, Pa.), the Red and Gold advantage increased to 15 points, 23-8 (13:05), before the 13-minute mark.
